Methods for Evaluating Iceberg Queries
نویسندگان
چکیده
Iceberg queries are a special case of SQL queries involving GROUP BY and HAVING clauses, wherein the answer set is small relative to the database size. Iceberg queries have been recently identified as important queries for many applications. Queries can be characterized by their huge input-small output. The iceberg refers to the input, and the tip of it refers to the output. This paper is going to present some of the existing iceberg query processing using data mining. Keywords-Iceberg Query, Counting co-occurrence, Bitmap index.

Evaluating Aggregate Functions of Iceberg Query Using Priority Based Bitmap Indexing Strategy
Received Apr 10, 2017 Revised Sep 8, 2017 Accepted Sep 29, 2017 Aggregate function and iceberg queries are important and common in many applications of data warehouse because users are generally interested in looking for variance or unusual patterns. Normally, the nature of the queries to be executed on data warehouse are the queries with aggregate function followed by having clause, these type...

Many applications compute aggregate functions over an attribute (or set of attributes) to nd aggregate values above some speci ed threshold. We call such queries iceberg queries, because the number of abovethreshold results is often very small (the tip of an iceberg), relative to the large amount of input data (the iceberg). Such iceberg queries are common in many applications, including data w...

متن کاملOn Incorporating Iceberg Queries in Query Processors
Iceberg queries are a special case of SQL queries involving GROUP BY and HAVING clauses, wherein the answer set is small relative to the database size. We present here a performance framework and a detailed evaluation within this framework of the efficiency of various iceberg query processing techniques. Based on these results, we provide a simple recipe algorithm that can be implemented in a q...
